Here are some of the wines available from Newman Wine & Spirits. Not all wines are available at all stores. Please call the store nearest you to confirm which wines they carry.

RED WINES

2008 Sonoma Acres Merlot

Made from premier Sonoma vineyards, primarily in the Alexander and Dry Creek Valleys.  This classic Merlot features rich, dark fruits, notes of cocoa, a hint of vanilla oak, and a smooth finish.  A versatile food wine, it pairs beautifully with pasta, grilled chicken and steaks.

2008 Castlebank Old Vines Dry Creek Zinfandel

This gorgeous single vineyard Dry Creek Old Vines Zinfandel has vibrant fruit including raspberries and blackberries with some vanilla spice.  Full bodied with a nice, silky texture, this wine will provide lots of pleasure for years to come.  Will pair with a wide variety of foods including spicy barbeque, steaks and lamb chops.

2009 Sonoma Acres Russian River Valley Pinot Noir

Bright Aromas of strawberries, Bing cherry and red plum.  Well structured, with a silky, lush mouth feel, and flavors of raspberry, pomegranate, cherry and cinnamon.  Aged in French oak for ten months and nicely integrated with a very pleasant finish. This is a small production 100% Pinot Noir that was all grown in the prestigious Russian River Valley.  Will pair nicely with duck, pork and salmon.

2008 Dimaond Ridge Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir

This is made in the quintessential fruit forward style with  loads of ripe vibrant red fruit from the prestigious Sonoma Coast Appellation.  It exhibits a gorgeous nose of red cherries, strawberries and red plum. This Pinot is pure and elegant with a nicely textured silkiness and flavors of pomegranates,  red cherries and sweet cranberries, with touches of red licorice and cinnamon.

2008 Drystone Pinot Noir

The Cental Otago appellation shows how great New Zealand Pinots can be. Dan Duckhorn’s partner in founding both the winery and Goldeneye Pinot Noir,  Dick Berridge has made this beautiful wine his dream.  Gorgeous aromas of red fruit,  sweet red cherries and spices.  Rich on the palate and satin textured with bright fruit including raspberries, strawberries, and currants with nice depth  and a pleasant, long finish.  Only 1,346 cases produced.

2008 Kingsford Manor Napa Valley Reserve Meritage

A stunning Bordeaux blend featuring an aromatic nose of black cherries,  plums and blackberry with touches of licorice and vanilla oak.   Nice vibrant red and  black fruit including black currants, dark chocolate, blueberries, dark cherries,  with touches of tobacco and a spice box.  This should be paired with hearty chicken dishes and marbled meats on the grill.

2008 Maxwell Creek Napa Valley Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon

This Reserve Cabernet, has an expressive bouquet of elegant red and  black fruits including  red and black currants, blackberry cream pie with  lush tannins.  Very well made and complex, yet quite approachable with black raspberry, truffles, espresso, dark chocolate, and spices with touches of vanilla and  white pepper. Will drink well now and through 2018.

2008 Shadowood Alexander Valley Reserve Merlot

Abundant aromas of dark chocolate, blackcurrants, plums and a nice spice box.  On the palate, black cherries, vanilla bean, blueberries, cassis and mocha.  Nice intense flavors with supple tannins and a gorgeously long concentrated finish.  This wine will age gracefully and pair well with Lamb, Barbequed Pork Chops, Spaghetti Bolognese and Kobe Beef Sliders.

WHITE WINES

2009 Kingsford Manor Chardonnay

Ripe tropical fruits, and lemon custard with floral hints on the nose. On the palate, Bartlett Pears, White Peaches, Mango and Melon with touches of Pineapple, Banana and Golden Delicious Apple. Aged for 7 months in French Oak with good intensity and lush flavors. Only 1,384 cases produced.

2009 Kingsford Manor Sauvignon Blanc

This superb Sauvignon Blanc has a captivating nose of pear, candied pineapple and lush tropical fruit.  Excellent balance with peach, lemon custard, melon and hints of exotic fruit.  A perfect wine for spring and summer that will pair nicely with raw and cooked seafood, fish and delightful as an aperitif.

2008 Robert Storey Chardonnay

This beautifully made Chardonnay aged in French Oak offers bright tropical fruit and white peach flavors with a lush mouth feel.  This wine is made by Dave Guffy, the winemaker for The Hess Collection.
